PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL KIDS MARKETS CAMPAIGN
TO Schools, classes, teachers, and parents across Bulgaria
About the campaign
We are proud to present the national Kids Markets campaign — an initiative that gives children aged 5–18 a real platform to start their own small business, sell products they made themselves, and meet real customers.
This is not a simulation. It is not a game. It is a real market with real experience — and it can happen in your school’s yard or at an organized market in your town.
The campaign is an initiative of the Open Learning Foundation and Livingston Global Academy, with the support of the “Usmivka” Association. The first market took place on May 31, 2026 in Varna — under the patronage of Varna Municipality, the first municipality in Bulgaria to support this idea.
Why Kids Markets
School teaches a lot of knowledge — but it often misses the most important lessons: how to take initiative, how to solve real problems, and how to turn an idea into something of value.
Entrepreneurship isn’t just about making money. It’s about discovering your own potential. Creating a product or service that is high quality, that brings value, and that makes people happy — that is the essence of real business. An entrepreneur’s goal isn’t just profit, but also the impact that a valuable product creates. People who solve real problems and create quality gain something more lasting than money — trust and credibility.
Kids Markets develops the skills that are falling further behind in today’s digital world — social skills. Looking a customer in the eye. Explaining what you’re selling. Hearing “no” and carrying on. Smiling and building a connection. These are skills no textbook can replace.
With every stand, presentation, and sale, children learn to think big, work hard, and believe in their ideas.
The kids market as a cause for the whole class
Taking part in a Kids Market is also an opportunity for the class to raise funds for a shared purpose.
The funds raised can be used for:
A trip or educational excursion
A visit to a museum, theater, or cinema
Buying something the class needs
A donation to a charitable cause chosen by the children
This teaches children not only to be enterprising, but also to think about the common good — a skill they will carry for life.
Kids Markets Final — November 29, 2026
The best-performing teams and young entrepreneurs from across the country will meet at the national Kids Markets final on November 29, 2026.
Organizers
the Open Learning Foundation, Livingston Global Academy
With the support of the “Usmivka” Association, Varna Municipality, and Plovdiv Municipality — the first municipalities in Bulgaria to support this initiative.
We believe every child carries within them ideas and potential that can change the world for the better. Give them a chance to prove it!
To take part in the final, you must:
Take part in at least one organized market or hold your own market in your schoolyard during the 2026 season.
Record and submit a 60-second video short in which the child or team presents their business idea — what they sell, why they chose it, and what value it brings to customers.
Present your business idea to a jury at the final — briefly, clearly, and persuasively.
The final is also a platform for recognition — for the children, the teachers, and the schools that believed in this idea.
