Dear children, parents, and teachers,

With great joy and pride, we invite you to the first kids market of the national campaign in Veliko Tarnovo Kids Markets – kidsmarkets.org/ !

This is not an ordinary event. This is the beginning of something big.

Veliko Tarnovo Municipality is the third municipality in Bulgaria to believe in this idea and support it — and that’s no coincidence. Veliko Tarnovo is a city with spirit, with vision, and with people who understand that the future is built by brave, creative children who are learning today to think like entrepreneurs.

On September 26, 2026, in Veliko Tarnovo, children aged 5–18 will stand behind their own stands, present products they made themselves, and meet real customers.

No simulations. No pretend play. A real market. Real experience. Real pride.

The event is organized by:

the Open Learning Foundation and Livingston Global Academy with the support of Veliko Tarnovo Municipality and the “Usmivka” Association.

The best-performing participants will have the opportunity to take part in the final of the kids markets on November 29, 2026.

WHY — The Goal of Kids Markets

The most successful entrepreneurship doesn’t start with the question “How do I profit?”, but with the question “What problem should I solve?”

Entrepreneurship is more than selling and profit. It starts with one important question: What can I create that will make someone happy and make people’s lives better? Creating a product or service that is high quality, that brings value to the other person, that is the essence of real business. It’s hard to be a valuable entrepreneur, but in doing so you make the world better for yourself and for others.

In that difficulty lies the greatest reward: changing the world positively with your products.

We believe entrepreneurship isn’t just about making money, it’s about discovering your own potential, learning from real situations, and developing the courage to try. An entrepreneur’s goal isn’t always just profit, it’s also the impact that a valuable product creates. People who solve real problems and create quality gain something more lasting than money: trust and credibility.

School teaches a lot of knowledge, but it often misses the most important lessons: how to take initiative, how to solve real problems, and how to turn an idea into something of value. To that we add something that is falling further behind these days: social skills. Looking a customer in the eye. Explaining what you’re selling. Hearing “no” and carrying on. Smiling and building a connection. These are skills no textbook can replace, and right here, at the market, children learn them in real time.

With every stand, presentation, and sale, children learn to think big, work hard, and believe in their ideas. Money doesn’t come free — most people work hard to earn it.

The goal of kidsmarkets.org/ is to spark the entrepreneurial spirit in children by giving them real opportunities to create, sell, and succeed through hands-on market experiences that build confidence, creativity, and life skills.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE

The event is an open invitation to children, parents, schools, and classes. Children can take part individually or as a team, presenting and selling products they made themselves. See the full Rules and Terms before registering.

The maximum price of an item is 5 euros. The maximum investment is 20 euros.

The funds raised can be used for a shared purpose for the team or class, such as a trip, a visit to a museum or theater, buying something for the class, or a donation to a charitable cause.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Participation requires advance online registration and a follow-up report.

The best-performing teams and young entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to take part in the final of the kids markets on November 29, 2026.
